Jai Hill is able to offer a unique perspective on the recruiting process to aspiring student-athletes. Not only did he reach the NFL despite not playing at a Division I college, he also has more than seven years of college coaching experience. After a successful high school career in western Pennsylvania, Jai understood the importance of being realistic and not getting caught up in the “name game” during the recruiting process. Jai ultimately chose Indiana University of Pennsylvania, a Division II college, and it proved to be the right fit. Jai went on to become a four year letterman at Indiana University Pennsylvania and was named a Harlon Hill finalist (Best player in DII) along with a Kodak All-American.
Based on his collegiate success, NFL scouts noticed his talent and he spent time with the Pittsburgh Steelers in addition to stints in the AFL and CFL. After his playing days were over, Jai decided to enter the coaching profession and from 2001-2008, he coached and recruited for Indiana University of Pennsylvania, Widener University, and Geneva College. Having gone through the recruiting process as both a student-athlete and a college coach, Jai hopes to share his wealth of knowledge with young athletes and parents all over the country.
