Dave has enjoyed successful experiences throughout his 20+ years “living the dream” in various leadership positions in the athletic industry.
As a former Division III college football student-athlete, Dave is able to share his personal recruiting process and what ultimately led him to Denison University in Ohio where he was a 1st-team All-Conference running back and nationally ranked kick returner. Dave later went on to pursue his Masters in Sports Administration in Miami, Florida where he was able to parlay a volunteer internship with the Miami Dolphins into a rewarding 10-year career. Starting in the Scouting Department and earning his way up to Director of Operations, Dave worked closely alongside Hall of Fame coaches Don Shula and Jimmy Johnson while also garnering Athletic Facility of the Year and Field of the Year awards during his tenure.
Looking to broaden his experiences in the athletic world, Dave accepted an offer to join Nike, Inc. – arguably the world leader in sports footwear and apparel – in an executive sales role. After 7 years, a move to Chicago and the experience of a lifetime working for a global giant, Dave felt the timing was right to explore the next journey in his career path. Teaming up with long-time friend Bill Anzelc, Dave helped raise investment capital to take Bill’s sports software firm to a different level. By rebranding the company as NExTT Solutions, the team was able to grow significantly and currently boasts more than 50 clients in the NFL, NBA, MLB, NCAA and high school levels.
As a parent of 3 children, Dave is experiencing the recruiting process again firsthand and is compelled to share his life experiences with other parents and student-athletes so that they are prepared to take full advantage of the resources available to them.
