Dr. James C. Adrian - NCSA Medical Advisor
Dr. Adrian received a BS degree from West Virginia University and a medical degree from the University of Illinois. Before retiring, he practiced general surgery in the Chicago metropolitan area and was a medical director of World Wide Air Ambulance Service. He served on numerous medical and civic boards and also taught post graduate school at the School of Medicine-Cook County Hospital and Loyola University.
Don Beebe - President of House of Speed Inc.
Don Beebe is a record-setting NFL player who played for nine seasons and for six Super Bowl teams. He is best known for being one of the fastest players in league history, blazing to a career best 4.21 forty-yard-dash at the pinnacle of his career. Beebe set speed and agility records in the NFL that still stand today. Beebe's NFL highlights continue to grace ESPN and his colorful and seasoned NFL career keep him in the media spotlight.
Ruthie Bolton - Guard for the Sacramento Monarchs
Shooting guard Ruthie Bolton-Holifield is the leading scorer for the Sacramento Monarchs. Bolton-Holifield has the distinct honor of being named as the first WNBA Player of the Week, July 1, 1997. She posted a 21.5 average in the preceding four games and was third in the league in rebounding. Bolton-Holifield carries the scoring load for the Monarchs.
Lou Canellis - CLTV Nightly Sports Lead Anchor
At CLTV, Lou Canellis heads up coverage of the Chicago's major teams. Canellis has contributed reports to CLTV since 1997 and took over the "Sports Page" anchor chair in June, 2002. Canellis was raised on the south side of Chicago and has followed local teams his entire life. Canellis is well-known for his post-game chats with Michael Jordan on Bulls broadcasts. Stedman Graham is Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of S. Graham & Associates, an educational company that creates customized corporate training and leadership development programs. Education and lifelong learning is central to Graham's philosophy. He co-authored The Ultimate Guide to Sport Event Management & Marketing (McGraw Hill). His nine-step empowerment philosophy, You Can Make It Happen: A Nine-Step Plan for Success, was a New York Times Bestseller.
Tim Grover - A.T.T.A.C.K. Athletics
Tim Grover received a Bachelor of Science Degree in kinesiology and a master's degree in exercise science from the University of Illinois Chicago. As a former NCAA Division I basketball player, Grover is widely recognized for his understanding and success in the mental and physical discipline of professional athletes. Additionally, Grover speaks to audiences worldwide on fitness & motivational themes for teams and companies. He has trained more than 100 professional athletes in the major pro sports.
Brad Hargreaves - Third Eye Blind
Brad Hargreaves started playing drums at 8 years old, and started studying jazz shortly after. Jazz gigs paid his way through college, and after he graduated he joined the rock band Third Eye Blind which blew up into international celebrity.
Hargreaves has recorded and toured the world with 3EB since 1996. During the break between their second and third albums, he began scoring films. Hargreaves composed, performed, and produced Suicide Regimen's original score. Hargreaves continues to work with Third Eye Blind and his current band, Year Long Disaster.
Tom Lemming - Lead Prep Analyst for College Sports TV
Tom Lemming, recognized as the leading expert on college football recruiting and high school talent, joined College Sports TV after spending two decades as the leading preps analyst for ESPN. Each year, Lemming travels the country evaluating the top high school football talent in the country. His prep football tour, sponsored by NCSA, produces the Tom Lemming Prep Football Report which is considered by many to be "the bible" of college football recruiting.
Joe Murphy - Washington Capitals - Right Wing
Joe Murphy is a former professional hockey right winger. Murphy was on the 1990 Edmonton Oilers when they won the Stanley Cup. He was also a member of the Calder Cup winning Adirondack Red Wings, as well as leading the Michigan State Spartans to the NCAA Division I Championship, giving him more professional and amateur championship titles than any other NHL player.
Murphy was drafted first overall by the Detroit Red Wings in the 1986 NHL Entry Draft. Murphy's NHL regular season totals are 779 games, 233 goals, 295 assists. In the NHL playoffs he played in 120 games, scoring 34 goals and adding 43 assists. He is tied for third overall in career overtime goals in the playoffs, scoring four goals with Edmonton and Chicago.
Rick Schroder - Actor
Rick Schroder debuted in the 1979 remake of the movie "The Champ" but became well-known as the star of the television series "Silver Spoons".
Schroder has co-starred in the Western mini-series "Lonesome Dove" and its sequel, "Return to Lonesome Dove". Schroder acted in "NYPD Blue" for three years and has appeared on "Strong Medicine" and in several episodes of the second season of the comedy series "Scrubs". He is also currently co-starring in the hit FOX show "24".
Michael Stonebreaker - Notre Dame - 2 x Football All American
Michael Stonebreaker is a two-time consensus Notre Dame all-star and a unanimous first-team All-America selection in 1990. Stonebreaker started in all 12 games for the Irish, ranking second on the squad in tackles with 104 that season. Stonebreaker was a top Irish tackler in 1990 and had 220 career tackles, five interceptions and five sacks. He played in the 1991 Japan Bowl and Hula Bowl games. Stonebreaker was drafted in 1991 by the Chicago Bears, then signed with Atlanta in 1993 and New Orleans in 1994. He played for the World League in Switzerland in 1995.
Jason Straight - Former NCSA Student-Athlete
Former University of Wyoming Graduate- Point Guard
Jay Straight, a former Dunbar High School star, is now a graduate of the University of Wyoming. Jay worked directly with NCSA President Chris Krause and received a full scholarship to Wyoming. At Wyoming, Straight led his former team in minutes played and is the No. 3 career scorer in the Mountain West Conference (MWC). Straight played more minutes in 2005 -39.7 per game- than every Division I player except La Salle forward Steven Smith and was named to Dick Vitale's All-Mountain West Team. In 2004, Striaight played all 50 minutes in a double overtime victory against Princeton. Currently, Straight plays in Europe's professional basketball league, FIBA. On his new team, Galil Elyon Golan, Straight averages 21.8 points, 2 rebounds and 5 steals per game.
Tom Thayer - Former Chicago Bear - WBBM Radio
Tom Thayer retired from the Bears in 1992 after a distinguished 8-year career at offensive guard. He was originally a Bears' fourth-round draft pick in 1983 after an all-American career at Notre Dame as one of the team's strongest players. Thayer earned his starting role at right guard four games into the 1985 season, and eventually compiled consecutive game and consecutive start streaks that led the Bears during the late 1980s. Before joining the Bears radio team in 1997, Thayer worked for two years as a Bears analyst on WFLD-TV's pro football programming.
