The National Collegiate Scouting Association has named Mission Hills senior Brittany Hernandez as the Field Hockey Student-Athlete of the Year.
National Student-Athlete Day, marked yesterday, celebrates high schoolers who have achieved excellence in academics, athletics and community service. Hernandez was selected from among more than 10,000 candidates nationally.
