Scottsdale Notre Dame Prep junior volleyball player Jessica Maxwell has been named the National Collegiate Scouting Association's Student-Athlete of the Month for September.
Maxwell was given the honor out of 10,000 student-athletes nationwide based on her playing ability and outstanding leadership on and off the court.
Last season, Maxwell, a 6-foot middle blocker, had 223 digs and 122 blocks. She takes honors courses and received the U.S. International Foreign Language Award for French.
