Joseph Curtis joined NCSA five years ago and has been a leader in the organization, taking part in many new initiatives to help the company reach unprecedented growth since its founding in 2000. During his tenure with NCSA, Curtis has learned scouting and the recruiting business from the inside out and has quickly become an executive member of NCSA's experienced and knowledgeable staff. He has worked with all levels and athletic abilities of student-athletes around the country and has contributed to every facet of the organization.

Keith Babb earned a marketing degree from the University of Tennessee and an MBA from Northwestern University. He is an ACEP certified youth coach with 17 years experience, and has worked as an IHSA football official and softball official. He taught ACT and SAT preparation classes, helping improve high-schooler's test scores. Babb's softball-playing daughter enrolled with NCSA prior to her sophomore year in high school. Working the NCSA system, Melissa heard from 145 colleges, 20 had real interest, she narrowed those schools down to three solid choices, and is playing DI softball at Colgate University.

Carmen Bucci comes to the NCSA as a former client of NCSA President, Chris Krause. Bucci is very familiar with the recruiting process. He was recruited nationally for baseball, which landed him a scholarship to Northwestern University. As a four year starter, Bucci was a two-time All-Big Ten Shortstop. Carmen continued his athletic career with the San Diego Padres for two years. Post Padre achievements include the operation of the West Coast Baseball School (Sherman Oaks, CA), former Scout with the Texas Rangers, and current columnist with the Naperville Sun, writing about the ins & outs of College Recruiting.

Jenny Goodpaster received her undergraduate degree in education from Hillsdale College in 1988 and immediately began her teaching career at Hamilton High School (near Holland, MI). She taught and coached basketball, volleyball and track for ten years, enjoying every minute. Goodpaster continued her education by earning a masters degree in educational leadership from Western Michigan University in 1993. In her "free time" she raced for NIKE and was a 1996 Olympic trials qualifier who trained again for the 2000 trials under Olympic Coach Brian Diemer. Goodpaster entered the college coaching ranks in 2000 and went on to recruit top athletes from all over the country, earning the GLIAC Coach of The Year. In addition to her recruiting experience, Goodpaster is also a mother of two sons. She understands the importance of each decision in life and is passionate about helping families find the "right fit" for their son or daughter.

Steve Potter, a full scholarship basketball player at St. Vincent College in Latrobe , PA from 1977-1981, has spent the last fifteen years in the recruiting industry. A former high school coach, Potter has been instrumental in developing the Northeast as well as contributing to the success of the Buffalo Bills Corporate Sponsorship Program, which is now in its third year.

David Carl was part of the NAIA Division II National Championship Football Team and played professionally in England. Carl has coached both at the high school and college levels. Since 1996 he has helped hundreds of student-athletes nationwide through the recruiting process.

Coming out of high school in New Jersey, Ty Garland was ranked by Tom Lemmings as the 16th linebacker in the nation. Additionally, he was the indoor-outdoor national champion in the shot-put with throws of 64ft 8in and discus with throws of 191ft 5in. He was highly recruited by many colleges for football and track and field.

He attended Michigan State University on a full athletic scholarship. From 1993-1998, he played middle linebacker and competed in four bowl games. He also threw shot-put for Michigan State University and holds a shot-put record.

Ty Garland graduated from Michigan State University in 1998 with a bachelors degree. Following graduation, he worked as a career placement recruiter and in the mortgage industry.

Steve attended Northwestern University, arriving on campus as a walk-on baseball player. Through his hard work and determination, Steve earned a spot on the team and quickly made himself an invaluable member of the Wildcats. As a starter, Steve showed his utility playing seven different positions over his four year career. He earned Academic All-Big Ten honors and helped lead the Wildcats to the Big Ten playoffs in his senior season. Steve continued his athletic career playing professional baseball in the independent Frontier League for the Portsmouth Explorers, where he was selected as the league's All-Star Second Baseman, and the Springfield Capitals, helping lead the team to their first league championship.

After a 16 year career owning and operating a Printed Packaging Company, Hans started Diamond Zone Sports in 2001, an Indoor Youth Sports Training Center. With a daughter at Penn State University and a son playing baseball at Sacred Heart University, Hans has first hand experience on the recruiting and college selection process. He has spent the past five years consulting with parents and players on the complexities of this process. He prides himself on his ability to understand the parent's perspective while teaching student-athletes how to be actively involved in their recruiting.

After pursuing a career in collegiate basketball in San Luis Obispo , CA , that was cut short by injury, Scott Henderson had a four year stint in state law enforcement. Longing once again to get back into working with college coaches and high school student-athletes in the recruiting process he began scouting in 2000. Henderson comes to us with three years of recruiting experience as the Senior National Athletic Scouting Director from a competitor. Now, he has truly found a home where the matching of college coaches with the right student-athletes is priority one.

Jeff Little was the starting point guard at Shenandoah Valley Academy in Northern Virginia for two years before graduating from Pacific Union College in California. During his tenure in Virginia, he played among some of the top student athletes in the nation, including Ron Mercer, Damien Wilkins, Jason Chapel, and Keith Bogans, who have since gone on to the NBA.

'I thought with that exposure and the level of competition I was going up against every night, the recruiting process would take care of itself. I couldn't have been more wrong,' said Little. 'I realize now that a proactive approach is the best route and NCSA would have been a tremendous aid for me.' Little also has experience as a coach and referee in basketball, football, baseball, and tennis, as well as knowledge directing a Napa Valley youth sports program. His familiarity with multiple sports is immeasurable and his passion in assisting young adults reach their potential is hard to overlook.


Cecil Martin

Cecil Martin is a former starting fullback for the Philadelphia Eagles where he emerged in 1999 after being drafted in the 6th round. Cecil was instrumental in the Eagles three playoff births and the NFC Championship two years in a row. While with the Eagles, Cecil was named to John Maddens 'All Madden Team' and later went on to play for the Oakland Raiders, finishing his career in 2003 with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Cecil's efforts in the community earned him the 'NFL Unsung Hero award' two years in a row and the 'NFL Ed Block Courage Award'.

In college, Cecil was a four year starter for the Wisconsin-Madison Badgers, leading the team to four college bowl appearances. During his co-MVP senior year, Cecil was captain of the 1998 Big Ten Championship & 1999 Rose Bowl Championship teams. While at the University of Wisconsin-Madison Cecil Martin studied communications and was twice named to the NCAA 'Good Works' team for community service.

Ryan Ball earned an Associate's degree from Kirkwood Community College and a Bachelor's of Science in Sports Administration from the University of Louisville. During college, Ball coached a middle school track team in his hometown of Monticello, IA, using the experience he had gained from running track himself. He also worked as an intern for the University of Louisville Athletic Office as an assistant to the track and field/cross country coaches. During the summer of 2005, Ball interned with the Charlotte Bobcats of the NBA and Carolina Sports Entertainment Television, working in business operations. He brings all of the knowledge and insight he has gained throughout his experiences to Chicago and NCSA.

Bill Casson joins the NCSA scout team from Ft. Lauderdale, FL where he has helped many student athletes reach their lifelong goals. He is one of two founding directors of the South Florida Travelers Baseball League, a three county, 175 team league from 10U through varsity. Casson has coached at the high school level and understands the need for guidance through the process of college recruiting. He has dealt with the pitfalls in helping his son attain a scholarship to play baseball at the university level.

Nick comes to NCSA as a professional baseball instructor and trainer. He owns and operates Sherman Oaks Baseball Academy and 5 Tool Players, Inc. in Sherman Oaks, CA. Certified by the National Academy of Sports Medicine (NASM) and a former U.S. Marine, his background in strength & conditioning and nutrition helps him develop his players physically and mentally to accomplish their goals on the diamond. In the past eight years he has had the privilege of working with many top high school, college and professional players. Coming to NCSA, and "being able to help a student/athlete follow and achieve their dream is the most rewarding feeling I have ever had professionally".


Glenn Levitas

Glenn was a three sport varsity athlete at Chicago State University, where he earned a B. A. in Education while playing baseball, golf and tennis. Glenn coached varsity baseball and tennis at Kenwood Academy, a Chicago Public School. His boys tennis teams won eight consecutive city championships under his direction and one of his players, Noel Occomy, went on to win the Division III national singles championship at Brandeis University.

Glenn has been a ranked local and regional senior tennis player and continues to participate in men's senior baseball. A crafty though rapidly aging lefty pitcher, he has played on senior travel teams which have won four national championships.

Chris McIntosh graduated from Liberal Arts Knox College in Galesburg, IL with a dual degree in Psychology and Spanish in 2002. McIntosh studied the Spanish language and history at the Universidad de Barcelona in Spain during his junior year. During his tenure he played Defensive End for the football team and participated as a Midfielder for the lacrosse team at the Division III level. Before joining NCSA, McIntosh worked as a cadre teacher and assistant football coach for Chicago Public Schools.

She was the Head Volleyball Coach at Triton College in River Grove, Illinois for 2 years and was instrumental in helping her Junior College athletes continue their volleyball careers at various NCAA Divisions. As a resident of Florida, Sue continues to play Indoor, Beach and Grass Volleyball at competitive AA and Open levels.

Originally from Winnetka, IL, Dennis O'Brien joins NCSA after working as an Account Executive for WBBM Newsradio 780 and the Chicago Bears Network. Previously, O'Brien worked for Clear Channel Radio's national sports marketing department, where he offered specialized turn-key sports advertising and marketing programs to corporate businesses for more than forty professional sports teams and hundreds of colleges and universities. O'Brien graduated from Southern Methodist University with degrees in history and economics and is a former three sport athlete at New Trier High School.

Chris Oakes graduated from the University of Colorado at Boulder with a degree in history. He is a lifelong Chicago resident and alumni of Loyola Academy in Wilmette, IL where he played football and lacrosse. He is an avid sports fan and outdoorsman. Prior to joining NCSA Greg spent the last three years as a Sports Performance Coach working with athletes on improving their athletic performance. Greg was an All-Sectional NAIA College Soccer Player and four year letterman at Aquinas College in Grand Rapids, Michigan. Greg is a "National D" licensed soccer coach and has coached soccer both at the travel team and recreational level. Greg has a Master of Science Degree in Exercise Science with an emphasis in Performance Enhancement and Injury Prevention from California University of PA. Greg also has an MBA from Loyola University Chicago with an emphasis in marketing.

He compiled a 42-5 record as a quarterback throughout high school and his college career. Jeff played three years of Arena football ending up with the Grand Rapids Rampage. NCSA CEO, Chris Krause, assisted Jeff, his brother John (quarterback at University of Idaho), and his twin sisters (Julie/volleyball-Chicago State Univ. and St Xavier and Jodie/volleyball-St. Ambrose Univ.) in receiving college scholarships.

Walter is a native of Cincinnati, OH where he attended Greenhills High School. Walter was a three year all conference, all state varsity lettermen in football and a four year all conference all state qualifier in track and field.

After high school Walter attended Northern Iowa Area Community Collage where he completed his AA degree in liberal arts, and contributed to the NIACC Trojans football team reaching their first RC Cola Bowl (NJCA). Walter then received additional football scholarship to the University of Northern Iowa and completed a degree in Criminology with emphasis on customer relation. While attending the university Walter was also a member of the 92-94 Northern Iowa Panther Championship football team.

Eric Wallor graduated from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign with a bachelor's degree in recreation, sport and tourism with an emphasis in sport management. Wallor ran track and cross country at Illinois and before transferring to Illinois won a National Championship in the 1500m and 5000m in track and was a two-time All-American in cross country at Harper Junior College in Palatine, IL. Before joining NCSA Wallor was an intern for the Palatine Park District and the Operations intern for the Schaumburg Flyers Professional Baseball Team.
