What the Coaches are Saying...
Aug 28, 2023

“UMBC is looking for hard working players, who want to grow academically as well as on the Ice. UMBC is a top school and is a national and global leader in education, research, affordability, and community engagement. As a result, the school receives plenty of federal support for its programs. Though UMBC is known as top STEM research school, the school has over 100 programs and degrees. UMBC Ice Hockey is currently D3 AAU College Hockey League team playing within the Delaware Valley College Hockey Conference (DVCHC). We are rebuilding the club and are well funded and supported by the school to grow! Are goal is to be at the D2 level by 2024 and D1 a few years after that (or sooner depending on players). Currently we practice 2x a week and play between 20-25 games a year. As we grow, we look to also increase ice time. The coaching staff consists of 6 coach with years of experience, coaching, as well as playing. Included in our coaching staff is a goaltending coach who is well respected in the region. In addition, we have our own personal trainer who runs off-ice twice a week and helps with injury’s.”
