Ben Murphree '19 Recruiting Profile

Thank you for giving me the opportunity to tell you about myself.  I am currently a Sophomore at Vestavia Hills High School (7A).  I will graduate in 2019.  For the past 5 years I have played on Team Easton, a travel club out of Diamond Club Baseball.  The head coach is Jarrod Patterson who played 9 years of professional baseball for the Kansas City Royals and Detroit Tigers.  While on Team Easton, I played short stop, second base, third base, and pitched.  

During my Freshman year at Vestavia Hills High School, I was the starting second baseman and also played some short stop and pitched in relief.  Our team won the Freshman Metro Championship Tournament and even went undefeated in the tournament.  

My G.P.A. is 3.5 and I plan to take the ACT by the end of this school year.  Some of my best assets are my attitude, hustle, and coachability.  I have always given my team 100% for every practice and every game.  It would be an honor to play collegiate baseball and I would treat it as such.
