Personal Statement
My name is Colton McDonald. I am a senior at Charleston High School, Charleston Arkansas. Baseball has been a love of mine as long as I can remember. I have been fortunate enough to play with some good teammates and coaches for the past several years, including USSSA, AA Sr. American legion and my high school team. I have been a productive starter since my sophomore year and a 4 year varsity letterman. Throughout my time playing I mainly played Catcher and Outfield, it wasn’t until 2 years ago I started pitching lessons with the Fort Smith Baseball Academy Coach Jim Wiley. Switching from catcher to pitcher has been one of the best decisions I have made. I continue to work hard to increase my velocity and accuracy with all the pitches in my arsenal and look forward to being one of the go to pitchers on my high school time this spring.
I am a team player and have always given 100% in the role my coach needed at that time. I believe that when it is time to work lets work, get it done and after that we can enjoy good times and good friends. I try to do the ‘right’ thing all the time and by doing what is right, it cannot be wrong. My priorities in life are God, Family, School and Baseball, with the first two things in order the rest will fall into place.
I am looking for an opportunity to extend by baseball career by playing at the collegiate level with a university that fits me as well as being a good fit for the university.
Thank you for taking time to look at me and I look forward to any future contact we may have.
