Personal Statement
I’m in the graduating class of 2018 at Mesquite High School. When I was 13 and after the Montana season was over, my parents gave me the opportunity to keep playing baseball elsewhere and we moved to Arizona. My ultimate goal is to play baseball at the collegiate level, and earn a top-notch education.
I take extreme pride in my work in the classroom, and my grades reflect this. I am a perfectionist. My freshman year, I managed to balance Baseball, Football, and Basketball, while keeping my grades very high. I know how to manage my athletics and activities, prioritize schoolwork and important tasks. My personality will not allow me to leave anything unfinished.
I understand the importance of leadership, and I desire to lead my teammates and peers by my example. I am always trying to better myself and I want to those around me to be better too.
In the past two years, baseball has given me the opportunity to travel the country. I’ve had the chance to learn from some amazing coaches, play with and against some of the best players in the country, and develop my character as a person and player.
I’m young, and I have a lot to learn. I can’t wait to see where my journey leads.
