Personal Statement
My name is Darren Weston. I have been playing baseball all my life and I embrace being able to compete day in and day out. My love for baseball started very young and only continues to grow, and I have ambitions of playing at the collegiate level. I have been very fortunate to play every position on the field at some point in my career, except catcher, and this has helped develop a good baseball IQ. I've also played football and basketball throughout middle school and early high school. I strive to be the best not only on the diamond, but in the classroom as well. I am taking a mixture of Honors, AP and IB classes to expand my knowledge and challenge myself. I have a great internal drive and I am motivated to get better, especially when someone says I can't do something or I'm not good enough. I have a great support system, consisting of family and friends, which helps me to always be the best me.
