Roman Escobedo '18 Recruiting Profile

 My name is Roman Escobedo and I am currently a senior at Barry Goldwater High School.  It has always been a dream of mine to play college baseball. I plan to major in athletic training. What makes me a good candidate for any team is that I am dedicated, and hardworking on and off the field. I consider myself an over achiever and am not afraid to compete with players that are bigger and stronger than me. I like to push myself past my limits to become a better player and person. I have overcome obstacles in my baseball career and am not a stranger to adversity. I will admit that I was not focused academically like I should have been my first three years of high school. But I believe I have grown as an individual this past year and am all in in doing whatever it takes to play on a college team. I am willing to help the team in anyway I can. I will also do whatever it takes to get myself where I need to be on the field and academically. I have been dedicating much of my free time to working and conditioning with a pitching coach. I will be doing a Velo program after the high school season to increase my velocity
