I am currently a Junior at Sunnyslope High School in AZ. School has been a bit detached this year with a few days in school and the other days on line. As I have adapted, i have found that my greatest strengths academically are in math and science. I hope to use these both for a future career in engineering. My older brother inspired me to want to pursue this dream as he played college football and is now a mechanical engineer- loves his job and now coaches the special teams on Varsity. I feel that I bring qualities of determination, discipline, leadership and commitment on the field and in the classroom. I gained a lot of these qualities from childhood that have carried me forward to who I am today. As a 5 year old, I was diagnosed with Thyroid cancer and have used my personal journey to mentally never give in and have a focus of winning that goes beyond the baseball field . I am a team player and believe the team is as good as its' attitude. The greatest success for me on the field or in school is seeing all my hard work pay off. I believe that being supportive, funny, comfortable and helpful offer my teammates a break from getting down on ourselves. From the athletic standpoint, I am a right handed pitcher with a 3/4 arm angle that brings natural movement to my pitches. As a secondary position, I play left field and catch. The different positions have allowed me to be aggressive behind the plate and self controlled on the mound. I will continue to add updates to my profile as the high school season approaches and am looking to improve my abilities at every practice or game to someday reach my dream of playing college ball.
