Personal Statement
Baseball has been my passion since I was 4 years old. The love I have for the game has taught me how to be strong, confident and how to show compassion to others. Baseball has made me become very self-motivated to train and condition on my own. It has given me the drive to not only improve my skills as a player, but how much I can contribute to my team’s success. I am a hard working player, that would bring a high level of moral standards and respect to your team. I have a fun down to earth personality, and I get along teammates and coaches.
Baseball has played a major part of who I have become. Baseball has taught me the value of teamwork. It has shown me that its not just about personal stats but about team stats as well. Being a team player not only can propel your team towards success but also helps motivate the team to push themselves individually. Baseball has taught me how to have compassion for others on and off the field. It has taught me how to mentally move on and how to see the good play within a bad play. I have learned to focus on the next opportunity to make it count. Being a Catcher, I get the unique opportunity to connect with everyone on the field. This has taught me that good sportsmanship is not only limited to my team but to respect all players, coaches and officials. Those lessons have motivated me to be more involved within my community and help others. I have volunteered at our local homeless shelter, VFW and animal rescue. All of those important life lessons baseball has taught me as well as being family oriented, I have learned that loses and downfalls will not hold me back but will push me forward.
I have played on the All American Baseball Youth team in addition to travel-ball team. Within that it has allows me to connect to new players and coaches from all across America. I have received an MVP award from Gameday USA. I have been nominated All State 3 years in a row. My goal is to reach the highest level of baseball I can.
I am looking for any school that will allow me to have a great college education and sports experience. A college that is willing to provide me with the tools and help me reach my life-long dreams to play baseball or provide me with my associate’s degree. I have thought about becoming a Fish and Game warden.
Thank you for your time,
