Personal Statement
My Dream is to end up being a successful and productive adult and contribute to society in a positive way after I graduate from high school. I plan on following my families' footsteps by attending and graduating from a university like my parents and my older siblings. Both my older sister and brother were collegiate athletes. One of my major goals is to play baseball in college and hopefully receive a scholarship. I would like to attend a school that best fits me for academics and baseball. The ultimate dream would be to continue to play baseball at the professional level. In 2013, I was 6th in the nation for batting average by a second base freshman. Also, I was 38th in the nation for overall batting average for all freshmen. In 2014, as a sophomore, I was in the top 10 of the Northern Section (California) for batting average with a .506 average. I was recognized as 1st team all-conference and 2nd team all area by the Redding Record Searchlight Newspaper. I recently completed my 2015 high school baseball season as a junior. I led all hitters in the Shasta Cascade League and the CIF Northern Section with a .591 batting average. I was also first in the Shasta Cascade League and the Northern Section with a .692 on base percentage, which is the 12th highest on base percentage in the state of California. I also recorded 74 strikeouts as a pitcher during my junior season. I was recently honored by being named all Shasta Cascade League and All Redding Record Searchlight all area 2nd team for the second year in a row.
