Personal Statement
Baseball is life. The first time I put a ball in my hands I knew this was what I wanted to do. Since then I have worked very hard at my craft. I started playing any position the coach wanted me to play. However, it was the first time I got on the mound and threw my first pitch that I felt yes, I found my position! I started learning everything I could about pitching. I was able to work with a great coach who taught me how to hold the ball, how to use my legs and most importantly how to handle myself on the mound.
I feel the most important step I took was when I decided to play Travel/Club ball. That was a game changer for me. It made me compete, made me become a better pitcher and ball player. The training I received from my coaches and team prepared me for the responsibilities of playing for my High School team. As a freshmen I played on our JV team and made All League and voted Pitcher of the Year by my teammates. That summer after my freshmen season I was put on our Varsity team. I am excited and humbled for this opportunity.
I am working towards playing baseball in College. Everyday I am putting in the work both on the field and in the classroom. I feel the dedication to both my craft and my teammates will make me an asset to any team.
