Personal Statement

Hello, I am Garrett Malter.  I am 5’11, I weigh 195 lbs. and love to play baseball. Growing up, I enjoyed playing both soccer and baseball. I played Gold level club soccer with players that were significantly older than me and found the competition both challenging and exciting.

 

       I have a first degree black belt in Taekwondo and was ranked in the top 10 in California when I was competing regularly throughout the West. I believe Taekwondo and soccer have made me a better baseball player both mentally and physically. As you can probably tell, I like competing not only in athletics but in academics as well. It is a priority of mine to find a school that fits me academically and athletically. One without the other would not lead to success for me personally or the team as a whole.
