Michael Montalvo '12 Recruiting Profile

 I'm Michael Montalvo, a 6'0'' 170 Switch Hitting Catcher/Outfielder with above average speed from Alta Loma, CA. I will be graduating with the class of 2012. I have been playing baseball all my life and live for the game!!!! I have a 3.8 GPA (weighted) and have a 1500 SAT (I just took SAT exam 10.1.11). I lettered my first year on varsity as a junior while helping our team qualify for our 3rd straight CIF Quarter Finals appearances. I am consistently one of the first players to arrive to practice and the last to leave. I could be found taking hundreds of balls in the Outfield by our Outfielders coach after practice or throwing balls down to second with my catchers coach. I am now a senior leader on the team. My personal goal is to achieve first team all league and CIF. My team goal is to help our team reach the CIF finals in 2012!

Ideally, I would love to play Baseball and pursue my Architecture major in college. My goal is to play for a D1 program, yet I am also being open to D2, D3. I'm interested in all college's that offer a challenging Architecture program who also offer a hard working competitive baseball program. I'm open to a school in California or outside the golden state. For example New York or Boston, Massatchusets and others on the east coast. It is very important for you - as a coach- to know that I am a student-athlete that will give 110% on and off the field!!! I feel I can fit into any size of campus large or small as well as within a public or private/christian school environment.
