Personal Statement
Whether I am in the classroom, on the football field, at home, or on the baseball diamond, my goal is to WIN at everything I do. As I head into my Senior year at Valley Center High School in San Diego, California, I am preparing to give back to my school as a leader, a student, and an athlete. Although I have already had the honor of being chosen to represent my school as our 2014 Boys State Delegate, as part of the San Diego Union Tribune's 2013 All-Academic Football Team, and as a recipient of the 2013 VCHS Scholar-Athlete Award, I look forward to more opportunities to serve my high school next year. I will lead my senior class as the 2014-2015 Senior Class President, strive to maintain my academic ranking in the top 4% of my class, and aim to excel on both the football field and baseball diamond. While I put great focus on my leadership, academics, and athletics, I value my Christian faith greatest. Since my Freshman year, I have been a dedicated member of the Fellowship of Christian Athletes, helping FCA to grow into the largest club on our school campus! My faith continues to be crucial in inspiring me each day of my life, helping me gain an attitude of relentless work throughout practice and fiery passion on game days. I have the leadership, work ethic, positive attitude to be a key contributor on a college baseball team and, if given the opportunity, I will WIN as a college baseball player.
