Personal Statement
First thing's first, my ultimate dream is to become a professional in baseball. That is definitely top of the list. I aspire to play for a top college, to easily be scouted and noticed. I have the heart of a true baseball player, and there's just no denying that that's what I dream of becoming. Ever since I could hold a ball, baseball has been the center of my life. What, with all of the years spent playing the sport, it's what makes me who I am today. I am a strong-willed and competitive battler, as I will always be. Baseball is in my blood.
Well, apart from my top goal, I've always wanted to become a high school Math teacher. I feel it's a great fit for me based upon my gifted ability and capacity of mathematics and all of its subcategories. But, what really makes me aspire to be one of such a profession? I believe my zaniness and spontaneity, along with my strengths of interaction, are what students of this day and age really long for in a teacher; a friend. All throughout my middle and high school, I've become accustomed to teachers portraying those impossibly boring college professors in comedy movies. I want to change how students look at a subject, as well as appreciating their elders.
During college, my priorities will definitely be baseball and a degree in Mathematics. I mean, that's not going to stop me from having a great time with my social life! But, college comes first, before anything. My future is how I shape it, though, as I'm well aware of. Once I get my degree, I have many options in life to become successful.
I have many dreams in life, but none as large as the previously listed. It's up to me to fight for that position I aspire to be in.
