Personal Statement

~~My name is Mitch Silvas and I’m in the graduating class of 2018.  I’m a Junior at Redwood High School located in Visalia, California.  I’m presently 6’2” & 230 pounds.  My primary position is First base and I also am one of the Designated Hitters on my team.      

 

I’ve been playing baseball since the age of 5 and have developed a true passion for this sport.  Like thousands of other high school players, my objective is to play college baseball and obtain a college degree.  I feel I would be an asset to any college baseball program.  I’m very coachable and a good teammate.  I believe hard work, a positive attitude, and effort will help make a difference on any team or in life.

Over my remaining high school career, I plan to work hard in the classroom and continue to refine my baseball skills.  At this time, I’m leaning towards pursuing a degree in Business.  All I know is I’d love the opportunity to help contribute to your baseball program.
