I am a 6'1" senior from Campbell, California. I have started on Westmont High School's varsity baseball team since my sophomore year. I have played as an utility player at both infield and outfield positions as well as a right-handed pitcher. Last season I earned an all-leagure honorable mention. I also earned academic certificates of achievement for having a GPA between 3.00 - 3.49 for the past 3 seasons at Westmont High.
My sophomore year was my first year on varsity, and I believe the experience helped me grow as both as an athlete and as a person. During this season, we had to battle to win league, as well as the league playoff championship, where I was allowed to close the championship game. Afterwards we entered the Central Coast Section (CCS) playoffs with high hopes, but as a team we did not play well, and were eliminated in the first round. Going through that tough experience motivated me to assess my own effort, and work on my skills come junior year to do better in the tournament. Even though I love basketball as well, I decided not to play my junior season in order to focus on baseball. By doing, I felt my efforts paid off with the strong season I had. Also, all during the season, our team helped me become a better player and teammate, which resulted in our team winning a CCS title, as well as earning an all-league honorable mention.
I am looking to attend a college where I will be able to contribute to the team, as well as further my educational and career goals in business or statistics. I believe that I have the talent, character, work ethic and leadership skills to make an impact for a collegiate level baseball program.
