Personal Statement

Hello,  

My name is Gavin Lee. I just completed my Freshman year at Valley Christian High School and am currently on my high school team’s Summer League. My collegiate goals are to go to a college that has both a strong focus on academics as well as a strong athletic program. I feel that I am a good candidate because I am committed to the success of my team as well as my academic success. I'm not yet sure what career I will choose but I do enjoy sciences and am leaning towards the health care field.

What makes me different from other recruits are my work ethic and my drive to improve myself as an athlete and to help my team grow on and off the field. I feel it is very important to stay focused both on and off the field. I also feel it is important to be able to maintain a healthy work/life balance to prevent stress and burnout.
