The first thing about me that everyone knows is that I want to play baseball. I aspire to make myself the best that I can be using the resources and skills that I have been given. I would like to play at the highest levels possible and will always aspire to play at a level beyond them. I will be a great asset to your team because I have a deep passion and love for the game that carries into the way I play, always giving my all for every pitch, every swing, and every play. Leading people comes naturally to me; however, through nearly 10 years of being in the Boy Scouts of America, I've learned how to effectively lead and set goals for myself and achieve them in a smart and timely fashion. I demonstrate hard work and a need for success in everything I do. I like to challenge myself in baseball, academics, and every aspect of my life. In baseball my challenges come from playing at higher levels or with older players. During the summer of 2014, I traveled to Florida for the East Coast junior Olympics and was the only Freshman in the 18u branch of the tournament that I competed in. I'm often the first on the field and last off it, putting in a hard days work every day so that I can be the best out there. Similar to my work ethic in baseball, my school work shows that I like to challenge myself and participate in higher level courses. I enroll in all honors/AP classes and do my best to absorb the information that I'm given. Though you may have seen some student-athletes like me before, I can assure you that none have had as many people skills as I do. This is extremely helpful with the way I live my life and play the game. Picking up on body language, facial expression, body type, the way people interact with others, helps me to bond with teammates as well as learn weaknesses of the opponent very quickly. As a final statement, I'd simply like to share that I am a thoughtful young man and I strive to show kindness and compassion towards others in all aspects of life. Thank you for taking the time to read just a small sliver of the person I am and I can't wait to play some ball for you.
