Personal Statement

I relish the opportunity to receive a top-level education at a highly respected university or college. I work hard in the classroom and challenge myself by taking the most rigorous schedule offered. I am currently a junior and am taking four AP classes along with an honors class. Currently,  I have a 4.44 G.P.A. and have already taken five semesters of college courses. My collegiate goal is to major in business or economics and to eventually receive my Masters in Business Administration.

Athletically, I also take my craft very seriously and work diligently to continually improve. Eureka Senior High School is a large high school in the very competitive North Coast Section (NCS) of California, which also includes Del Norte, Sonoma, Marin, Mendocino, Contra Costa and Alameda Counties. Our program has consistently finished as one of the top ranked teams in the NCS. I have already established the nickname “Coach E” on my Varsity Baseball Team because of my leadership on the field and knowledge of the game. Last summer I moved to Sacramento to join the 17U Show California Baseball Team as a 15 year old. This program is the Bay Area brother of San Diego Show Baseball and run by members of the Toronto Blue Jays organization. We excelled at the Prospect Wire Los Angeles Invitational and the USA Premier Firecracker Classic in Los Angeles. This fall our team competed in the Evoshield National Championship, Fall Classic in Arizona, and Perfect Game WWBA World Championship in Florida. I plan on playing for Show California again this coming summer.

I also love to travel.  I have traveled to Europe and Central America and participated in a baseball trip to the Dominican Republic. This summer I will participate in Humboldt State University's World Languages and Culture Program in Oaxaca, Mexico for college credit. I will also pass the California Spanish Bi-literacy Exam. This will open many doors for me in business and travel.

Please feel free to contact High School Coach Eric Giacone at 707-616-7211 or [email protected] and Toronto Blue Jays West Regional Scout Darold Brown at 602-319-9605 or [email protected] for any information you would like to know about me.

  • Show California Baseball is the Bay Area affiliate of Show Baseball, one of the most recognized amateur baseball outfits in the country and known for developing players. Our partner in Southern California is San Diego Show Baseball Club. Our #1 goal is to create an atmosphere for each player to flourish and grow into the best person/ballplayer that they can become. Our staff is well experienced with plenty of knowledge to pull back on the reins or instill some tough love to gain inner toughness or an emotional athleticism that allows a player to propel. As a 15 year old I was placed on the 17U Orange Team. The teams are chosen through rigorous tryouts by members of Toronto Blue Jays Organization. My manager will be former Arizona State and professional player Reggie Leslie. My assistants will be former professional players Bo Dodson and Matt Sanchez. Our team will play a competitive summer and fall schedule including some of the best showcase tournaments in Southern California, Arizona and Florida. http://www.showcaliforniabaseball.com http://www.sandiegoshowbaseball.com
