Edward Russell '19 Recruiting Profile

I am a 5'10", 160 lbs. third baseman from Solano County CA. I have been playing baseball for 10 years, starting at the Pinto level in Pony and I hope to continue playing at the collegiate level. I have been a part of championship winning teams in Pony and tournament level-play for 10 years. I now plan to contribute my part to win the championship with my high school team. Ever since I can remember, the baseball field has been my happy place. Whenever I step on the diamond I am compelled to give the game my all - I love to compete.

Not only do I love to compete on the field, I give my all in the classroom. Along with many baseball awards, I have also received numerous certificates of academic and extracurricular recognition dating back to elementary school, such as; Super Reader 3, Intermediate Band Recognition, Symphonic Band Recognition, Magna Cum Laudue - Latin 1 National Exam, and the Solano County Athletic Conference - Scholar Athlete award (2).

Ideally, I would enjoy any school with a college town atmosphere. Scholarships, whether it be academic or athletic, will play a role in my decision. I would like to remain on the Western side of the USA, but am open to other opportunities. I graduate in the Class of 2019, and plan to major in  Business Accounting and Athletic Training.
