Personal Statement
Education can be a tool that leads to success. Getting an education opens the door to many potential opportunities. My goal outside of baseball is to become a high school history teacher and coach baseball, but before I get to that I would like to continue my playing career in college. I am a hard working and driven student-athlete. I feel that the lessons learned on the baseball field and in the classroom can work together to make me a better person. I have worked hard both in the classroom and on the baseball field in an effort to achieve success in both. I have had to overcome obstacles that would keep other people from accomplishing their goals, but my drive and determination won't allow me to fail. I will take this same dedication and effort to your baseball program. It is easy to have success and win when there is no adversity, once adversity sets in that is when the real winners step up. What I may lack in talent, I feel I make up for in baseball knowledge and smarts. I will work hard both on and off the field, should you decide to accept me into your program. I will represent, the school, the team, myself and my family with the utmost pride and respect. I thank you for your time and look forward to an opportunity to connect with you.
