Let me begin by thanking you for taking the time to read my personal statement. I come from a home with high expectations and standards. My family has taught me what it means to work hard, compete, be confident, and have faith. My ultimate goal is to earn the opportunity to play baseball at the collegiate level. I have worked hard in the classroom in my pursuit of being the best scholar athlete I can be.
I am a good candidate for your team because I will out work and compete harder than anyone on the roster. I am a good leader that is not afriad of failure. I am willing to lead from the front and learn from my teamates. I am great at setting my priorites and balancing the many demands of being a scholar athlete. I am confident in my ability. I know I can field, run, hit, and compete with anyone. Most importantly I want to learn how to improve everyday.
My character will never be in question. I believe in hardwork and being a good example. I want to succeed for myself, family, and especially to show my little sister that anything is possible. My faith tells me that I am blessed with health and means to play sports so I strive to make the most of it everyday. My mental strength and determination set me apart. I am now just strating to physically grow. I am so thankful that I was smaller growing up because it helped me learn to fight hard for what I earned. I learned that life isn't fair and some may think they are better just because they are bigger but it is an illusion. I paid attention to detail, fundamentals, baseball IQ, speed, hand speed, and being the best teammate/leader I can be. I can play with anyone and I am confident I have intangibles that are extremely rare. There are many athletes that can play but my ability in conjunction with the many intangibles I posses make me special. Lastly, I am a prepared student that takes great pride in succeeding in the classroom. I believe my attributes on the field help me in the classroom.
