Jackson Cloyd '19 Recruiting Profile

Being a dual sport varsity student athlete is about much more than simply good grades or great statistics.  My definition includes being a leader and a man of good character on and off the field. Examples include pushing my teammates to perform drills that customarily they may not have been able to complete, running extra sprints, supporting my teammates in the weight room that need extra motivation, working hard for my educational pursuits and doing all of this while gaining the respect of my teammates, my coaches and the many other influential people around me.  As a result of my leadership, approach, dedication and work ethic I was awarded the LANCER Award for being the player the most embodied excellence in character, academic excellence and athletic competition at the highest level.  I received this coveted award in both football and baseball ('15/'16).  I hope these characteristics help me to continue my academic and athletic pursuits at the collegiate level – a goal I have had since I first stepped on the football field and baseball diamond.

• Received Orange Lutheran HS Lancer award in two sports (2016)
• Received the Jacket of Honor - Varsity football 2016
• Received the Academic Excellence Award - Varsity football 2016
• Hit 412 with a 500 OBS in the 15U US National Baseball tournament (July 2016)
• Had 650+ OBS in 14U US National Baseball tournament (July 2015)
• Hit 463 in 2016 HS season
• 3.75 GPA 
• Honors math
