Personal Statement
Baseball plays such an important role in my life that I can't imagine life without it. As I was growing up, I played a variety of sports, but as I entered high school, I decided to focus on baseball. I am a hard working athlete that learns very quickly, I'm extremely coachable, and I am always willing to get better. I walk onto the baseball field everyday knowing that there is something that can always be improved upon. I understand the amount of dedication and hard work that is required of me to reach my goal of playing at a division college.
I am often seen as a leader of the teams I am on. I have excellent field awareness and am calm under pressure, especially as a pitcher.
I attend Point Loma High School in San Diego under the coaching of David Wells. I excel in the classroom and enjoy learning new material when I walk into each class every day. This year I am taking three AP courses, working hard and bringing home good grades. My GPA last semester was 4.36 and I am striving to become in engineer. Baseball is the sport that I love, and want to continue playing at the collegiate level while also furthering my education in the studies of engineering.
