Personal Statement

I’ve loved the game of baseball ever since I swung my first bat. Growing up in a predominately minority community, I didn't have other kids to share the experience of the game,  since baseball wasn't popular in my neighborhood. So, I introduced  a version of the game we could play in the backyard  one day to the kids in my neighborhood and we have enjoyed it ever since. The game helped them go through tough times in their lives. It was a window for them to use and bring joy into their lives. From that young age I realized that my goal in life was to help people and bring joy into their lives. Baseball has also helped me talk to more people from different backgrounds and experiences to get a better understanding of people so I could help them or others.  The game has taught me discipline as well, avoiding any activity that could get me into trouble and keeping me away from the bad crowd. Knowing that I have a plan in life and that I control my destiny. I preach my philosophy with my teammates so we are all on the same page.

One of the strongest abilities I have would be unifying a team and building chemistry. All the teams that I have played for became a family towards the end of the season and I know I could contribute that and build a family on your team. It’s a team sport and my way of thinking on the field is, Team first me second.

NCSA COLLEGE RECRUITING®

NCSA College Recruiting® (NCSA) is the nation’s leading collegiate recruiting source for more than 500,000 student-athletes and 42,000 college coaches. By taking advantage of this extensive network, more than 92 percent of NCSA verified athletes play at the college level. The network is available to high school student-athletes around the country through valued relationships with the NFLPA, FBU, NFCA and SPIRE. Each year, NCSA educates over 4 million athletes and their parents about the recruiting process through resources on its website, presentations of the critically-acclaimed seminar College Recruiting Simplified, and with Athletes Wanted, the book written by NCSA founder Chris Krause.
