Logan Young '18 Recruiting Profile

My goal is to play baseball at the next level, preferably through a State College, University, Private 4 year, or anything else that gets myself towards the next level. I am interracial, for my father is African American and my mother is Caucasian/Jewish. I am an Athlete and have a strong arm across the diamond and also have quick hands compared to most high school baseball players. RHP and topped out at 87 mph. I am fast around the bases. I have no problem hitting. Baseball is my passion and what I plan to play in college although I also play basketball as well. I primarily played 3rd base this season on my high school although, I play shortstop on my travel ball teams, but also played 2nd base, and also pitched as well. I am a Utility player and can play any position including catcher, which is what I played freshman year and partially through my sophomore year. This season for Torrance High School  I batted .317 with 13 runs scored, 32 hits, 16 RBI's, and 6 doubles. I have come a long way playing baseball. I am a mulitasker. I am a leader and team player on the field.  Academically, I am focusing on increasing my G.P.A. to improve my chances of getting into the colleges of my choice. I attended summer school, with great success. I plan to do the same in high school this being my Senior year. I was off to a shaky start academically but am currently on a grind. Focus and determined! With great support from my parents, coaches, teachers, counsilers, and fellow teammates, I plan on continuing to do what I love, which is playing baseball at the next level
