Personal Statement
I am 6'3" RHP from Fullerton, CA and will graduate in the 2010 class. So far I have 3 yrs of High school varsity experience at a small but competitive School. I have received 1st team all league every year and 2nd team all CIF my 9th and 10th and 1st team my 11th, along with Most Valuable Pitcher award at Santa Ynez Spring Classic tournament this past season. I have always loved to go right after guys and challenge them with the fastball.
Academically I keep a 3.75 GPA and currently signed up to take the soonest SAT and ACT. I have been home schooled since 1st grade, which has led me to truly appreciate and enjoy learning. Besides God and baseball, reading and writing is my passion.
I have started the recruiting process late due to lack of knowledge, but I want to continue pitching in the future. All my options are open. I am not a loud leader but a good leader by example because I give it 100% 100% of the time. I am looking for a school where I can get playing time and expand my knowledge about the game and art of pitching but still get a great education. English literature is what I love and what I desire to major in. I would like to play as a freshmen but willing to put in time to earn my place. I think (and have been told by reliable sources) that I am perfectly capable to play as a freshmen on a DI team but due to financial issues and handicap of playing on a small high school team I have all my doors open.
