Personal Statement

I want to expand my education, have the opportunity to play college baseball and work toward fulfilling my dream of becoming a baseball coach.  I have good leadership qualities, am a vocal leader with a strong work ethic on the field and in the classroom and I believe that hustle outworks muscle.  I have the desire to learn all aspects of the game to better equip myself to reach my goals.  I am willing to do anything necessary to help the team win.  The team and my teammates come before my own personal feelings, stats or achievements.  I put full effort into my education as well as my play on the field.  Character defines a person, how you act off of the field will be the way you act on it.  I enjoy helping my teammates on the field and am always willing to stay after practice and put in extra work, not only on my game but to work with teammates on their game as well.  I also enjoy helping my teammates in the classroom.

Events

  • Camp/Event
  • College of Southern Idaho Christmas Camp
  • 12/28/15 to 12/30/15
  • Two and a half day camp held in the expo center on CSI campus. Hit off of tees and in cages each day. Worked daily on catching drills (breakdowns, footwork, pop times, pitch framing, receiving skills etc). Took extra hitting and catching evening sessions. Experienced a lot of one on one instruction from coaches. This was an excellent and beneficial camp.
  • Camp/Event
  • Junior Sunbelt Tryout
  • 5/10/15 to 5/10/15
  • This was more of a tryout for the Junior Sunbelt travel team than an actual camp. I worked out behind the plate, registering pop times and pitch receiving. I also had the opportunity to run a 60 and take a round of hitting live on the field. Video was shot of all work outs at the tryout.
  • Camp/Event
  • Preseason Allstate Showcase
  • 3/01/15 to 3/01/15
  • Worked indoors (due to inclement weather) on catching and outfield drills. Took a round of BP and worked off tee. Recorded pop times, home to first speed, cone drill speed, exit velocity and positional velocities. Video was made of workout.
  • Camp/Event
  • Adams State University High School Camp
  • 8/10/13 to 8/10/13
  • Worked one on one with the Adams State coaching staff on infield, outfield and catching drills. Took BP in the cages then a round of live BP on the field followed by a scrimmage where I got work at shortstop, catcher and all outfield positions.

NCSA COLLEGE RECRUITING®

NCSA College Recruiting® (NCSA) is the nation’s leading collegiate recruiting source for more than 500,000 student-athletes and 42,000 college coaches. By taking advantage of this extensive network, more than 92 percent of NCSA verified athletes play at the college level. The network is available to high school student-athletes around the country through valued relationships with the NFLPA, FBU, NFCA and SPIRE. Each year, NCSA educates over 4 million athletes and their parents about the recruiting process through resources on its website, presentations of the critically-acclaimed seminar College Recruiting Simplified, and with Athletes Wanted, the book written by NCSA founder Chris Krause.
