Hello,
My name is Daniel Prickett, I'm a 17 year old junior attending Brighton High School in Brighton, Colorado. My collegiate goals and aspirations are many, first of all I want to excel in everything I do from the classroom to the baseball field and beyond. I want to become the best baseball player and student I can be, understanding that both will take hard work, dedication, focus and humility. I don't know exactly what I want to do for a career after baseball yet, but I'm a good student in the classroom and the baseball field so I'm confident that I will find my way to success even though I'm not quite sure yet. I've learned to set realistic, attainable goals and then build upon my successes, I've found that small accomplishments are the building blocks for long term success. I want to be able to enjoy not just the achievements of college but the journey of college believing that it can be a wonderful and rewarding experience.
I strive to be a positive, we can do it, lets work hard, lets pick up each other up and get this done kind of teammate. Even though I'm young, I've come to understand that this game a never ending learning experience and there's always something to learn. I've been very fortunate to play for a coach that instilled respect for the game in me, and it has continued to be with me. At the same time, I am a winner, I don't care what it takes catching bullpens, playing, designated hitting, I want to win and be a part of that success. I have come to realize as both a player, and as a person that one must control their emotions in order to have continued success. I have always been taught to have an even keel, which guides me through my life.
