Ryan Kelly '17 Recruiting Profile

My name is Ryan Kelly and I attend Castle View High School in Castle Rock, Colorado. I will graduate with the class of 2017. Baseball has been my passion since before I could even walk; much of my life has been dedicated to playing this game. One of my greatest attributes on the field is that I am a competitor; never let up until that last out has been made. No matter how large or daunting the task, I will give 110% until the very end, competing like it is my last chance to do so. I am constantly working to improve at all aspects of my game:  going to the cages, training in the weight room, airing out for some long toss, driving an hour to work with my hitting and pitching instructors; these are all part of my weekly routine. I am a dedicated and enthusiastic team player and leader.  My coaches would all agree that I am an asset to the team; I listen, respond and execute. I have excellent work ethic, even though it does not feel like work when playing the game you love. I take pride in how I carry myself on the field, in the community, and in the classroom. When I am on the baseball field, I hustle everywhere; showing up on time is being late. When I am in the community, I show respect and maturity. I am able to give back to school, church and various organizations through numerous service events. Most importantly, when I am in the classroom, I give my very best. I maintain a 4.0 GPA while taking the most challenging classes Castle View has to offer.  If one day I get the opportunity to continue my career at your college, you can count on me to give you my absolute best day in and day out. I know I have what it takes to carry out my dreams and be a successful college scholar and athlete.
