Personal Statement

My name is David Romanowski. I am a middle infielder and pitcher with a strong arm and good bat speed. I will graduate from Mead High School in Mead Colorado in the spring of 2014. I transferred to Mead High School last year. Due to Colorado High School Activities Association rules, I was not eligible to play Varsity for Mead until the end of the 2013 season. I am looking forward to being a full time member of the Mead Mavericks Varsity Baseball Team next spring.

I played 2013 summer baseball for the Colorado Cage Rats. The Cage Rats played tournaments around the country. As the starting second baseman, I was able to play with and against some of the best players in the country. I believe this level of competition makes me a better player and increases my knowledge of the game.

Fall 2013, I am played tournaments with Rocky Mountain Baseball and Coach Joe Le Febre. I also played for Coach Le Febre on Team Mizuno in the Arizona Senior Fall Classic.

Baseball has been an important  part of my life for as long as I can remember. Baseball has helped me develop a good work ethic and taught me how to deal with and learn from failure and success. The friendships I have made through baseball will last a life time. I believe that every young person can benefit from being part of the game.

I am a one sport athlete and play baseball year around. When not playing baseball, I umpire for a local youth league. Umpiring has taught me a lot about sportsmanship and given me respect for those who work behind the plate.

My goal as a player, is to become bigger, faster, and stronger. I know I can learn something every time I am on the field.  I would like to play at the college level. I hope a college coach will see in me a player that will give 100% and be an asset on and off the field.

Thank you for your interest in me as a player.

NCSA COLLEGE RECRUITING®

NCSA College Recruiting® (NCSA) is the nation’s leading collegiate recruiting source for more than 500,000 student-athletes and 42,000 college coaches. By taking advantage of this extensive network, more than 92 percent of NCSA verified athletes play at the college level. The network is available to high school student-athletes around the country through valued relationships with the NFLPA, FBU, NFCA and SPIRE. Each year, NCSA educates over 4 million athletes and their parents about the recruiting process through resources on its website, presentations of the critically-acclaimed seminar College Recruiting Simplified, and with Athletes Wanted, the book written by NCSA founder Chris Krause.
