Personal Statement
My name is Spencer Thorne, I am in the class of 2018 at York High School in York Maine. I play short stop and second base for the varsity team York Wildcats and on Portsmouth Mavericks in Portsmouth NH.
I always try to better myself in athletics and academics and I believe in making good choices and leading by example. I have a strong work ethic and enjoy helping others, for the last 2 summers I have coached the little league baseball camps, I enjoy helping the kids understand the game and achieve their goals.
The game of baseball has taught me to always do your best, work hard for what you want and believe in yourself. I am very dedicated to both athletics and academics. I currently have a 3.2 GPA and I am working on raising that year.
It has always been a dream of mine to play at a collegiate level. I am looking for a college or university where I can focus on my education and baseball.
