Paul Brophy '19 Recruiting Profile

    I have lived in the small town of Yuma for all my life, and have grown to know and love everyone. This is how I feel for my teammates, club and high school. Though my high school team, legend D team and all others have had a huge effect on my personality. There wasn't a bunch of pitching for our team, so a lot of time I had to step up and take on a challenge, through the worse and best of times. When I was young I did not always have the greatest innings, but the coaches kept me in because that's all we had. That really taught me how to focus on the task at hand and not let other things clog my mind. One of my favorite quotes from my mother was,"every pitch is a new pitch" constantly telling me to keep on plowing along through the diversity. 

    My club team gave me a rude awakening call. I wasn't all they had, I was very replaceable. This sense of being replaceable was something I did not take likely. I worked my craft, and by Gods grace I grew from a 5'5" child to a 6'1" growing man. I became an important role in my club teams success, and I promise I will make the same commitment to help contribute to the success of your collegiate team.
