Damien Maniscalco '18 Recruiting Profile

My name is Damien Maniscalco and I am from Branford Connecticut. I am a sophomore at Branford High School this year and play baseball for the Branford High School team. As a freshman I made the varsity team as a utility infielder. Since I was a young athlete my goal has always been to play college baseball. Being on the baseball field has always made me feel at home, whether it was at practice, a game or the countless hours of training, being on the field has always brought me comfort. My experiences on the field and with my teammates has taught me a lot about life, dedication, hard work and responsibility. These attributes have shaped the person I am today. Baseball has also taught me how to become a leader. Even though I am not the most vocal leader, I lead by example. My hard work and desire to be the best has made it so that I am the first person at the field and last one to leave. The people closest to me have always encouraged me to use my talents to help me pursue my education. As a student- athlete, my work in the classroom has always come first. I respect my teachers, ask questions and follow all the directions that I am asked to do. Through baseball I hope to achieve all of my goals in life.
