Personal Statement
I've had a some fairly good personal baseball moments my first two years of high school. The highlights probably are a 4-5 day with two home runs in a blowout win my sophomore year or catching my first touchdown pass my freshman year. But where I've learned the most in sports in from a team aspect.
Where I've learned the most in how to persevere is in the sport of football. Our team was 0-10 last year. There were 18 juniors including myself on the team. We could have quit, blamed each other, the upper class men or the coaches instead we have stuck together and committed ourselves to improve as a team. All 18 juniors returned & I actually scored the first touchdown in a season opening win. We have sacrificed & committed ourself in making our senior year in football a successful and fun year.
I will continue in this approach when in comes to baseball. My junior year didn't allow me to have the most opportunities to succeed as an individual but I consider it a success because we made states & I know we will continue to improve this year. I have learned that teamwork, & sacrifice are more important than individual accomplishments. I believe I have the individual talent to succeed in the next level but more importantly I believe that I have the characteristics to be a an essential teammate & leader of you team.
