I will be graduating in 2015 and looking forward to attend college to pursue my dream of playing baseball as well as being a student athlete.
. I am a center fielder but can play any position on the field. I love to be in center field as well as on the mound. I am a very competitive player and my strength on the field are briefly shown as anyone who watch' s me perform knows i have excellent speed, arm strength with accuracy, and make others around me better with my ability to be a leader and be vocal. I have a great eye and feel for the ball when hit in any direction. I always back up my left and right fielder and help them track the ball when hit deep or short they can depend on me being right behind them or navigating them in the direction the ball is hit. Infielders love the way i communicate to them as well because i see the whole field and i always have their backs. On the offensive side of the ball i am a problem to all types of pitchers i am a very patient but aggressive lead off hitter with great speed and bat control. Pitchers have a problem getting any pitch past me without it being ripped or tipped. My speed is my greatest equalizer because i hardly hit into doubleplays every coach I have ever played for has gave me the green light to steal when i can. I have a great understanding on how pitchers work so i can often get a great jump on off speed pitches and fast balls. In the class room i am a very contributive student and all my teachers find me as a hard working student and a respectful young man. I have currently a 2.4356 cumulative GPA and more than anything I want to improve my grades my will to do my studies is very important to me but i except all challenges and want to better myself as an athlete, a student, and a person so my efforts are always there and i just want to succeed. In 2009 i was in the national championship in a skills competition called hit, pitch&run. I started in my home town Naugatuck , CT and then went to states in Waterbury , CT i was then in the top 4 in the New England and won that at Citi Field in NY. I arrived in St.Louis Missouri during all star weekend and had the highest score of any competitor. I hit the farthest, ran the fastest, and had the best accuracy. i finished 2nd in the nation and it was the experience of a lifetime. Being on a college baseball team would be the biggest accomplishment and is the biggest goal i have set in my life.I have the passion and desire and that burning feeling to succeed at all levels of baseball and i would be a great addition to any college program.
