Personal Statement

My name is Matt Chamberlain and I am from North Branford, Connecticut. I played baseball for North Branford High School and I currently play with the CT Bombers 18u. My short term goal is to win! each Rep, AB, Inning and Game. I also played Ice Hockey  and Football at NBHS. I am on the baseball field almost everyday and when its raining or snowing I go to the closest sports facility to get my swings in. I always give 100% effort on the field no matter who we play or what the score is. I always support every one of my teammates in every play and at bat. I live being on the baseball field every day of my life and never want to go home. My goal after high school is to play division one baseball in college. When I can't be on the field training, I am in the weight room or training on my own everyday. There is no off-season for me. Everyday I give the effort as if it were my last. My dream is to play in the big leagues. I know its not easy but I am prepared for the road ahead of me and I know what it takes and what I have to sacrifice to become a great ball player. I give 100% in the classrooms as well. I listen to the teachers, ask questions, do as they say, and show respect as if they were my coaches. After my days of playing baseball are over I will continue my life as an athletic trainer for any athletes who wish to become better elite athletes.

  • Lower Body: The most important part of hitting is balance. Balance allows you to see the ball clearly. Balance also allows you to swing through the ball and allows for extension. •Swing: Learning to stay through the ball develops bat control and the ability to hit to all fields. •Eye Positioning: Teaching the eyes and the head proper movement for inside and outside pitches allowing the use of all fields. •Mental Aspects: Teaching pitch selection through pitch counts and pitcher's patterns. This is the most important aspect of the game. We press the focus at each and every camp.

NCSA COLLEGE RECRUITING®

NCSA College Recruiting® (NCSA) is the nation’s leading collegiate recruiting source for more than 500,000 student-athletes and 42,000 college coaches. By taking advantage of this extensive network, more than 92 percent of NCSA verified athletes play at the college level. The network is available to high school student-athletes around the country through valued relationships with the NFLPA, FBU, NFCA and SPIRE. Each year, NCSA educates over 4 million athletes and their parents about the recruiting process through resources on its website, presentations of the critically-acclaimed seminar College Recruiting Simplified, and with Athletes Wanted, the book written by NCSA founder Chris Krause.
