Matthew Tomei '16 Recruiting Profile

My current goal is to be able to play college baseball at a very good/elite academic school. I would like to use baseball to get into a school where I can improve my knowledge and playing abilities. Playing at the college level would mean to me that the work I have put in for the last 8-10 years has paid off. Along with baseball, I am very focused on excelling in the classroom. I work hard in class and challenge myself with the highest level courses and curriculums.  I think I am a good candidate to play college baseball because of my commitment to excellence on and off the field. I will work hard to become a better baseball player, a great student, and the best citizen possible. I also believe that I am a good asset for any college baseball team because of my friendly nature and exceptional leadership abilities. I am easy to get along with and very coachable as a player. I can and will do anything necessary to get better at the task at hand and be the best I can be at all times in any aspect of my life.
