Personal Statement

My goal in college is to graduate with a degree in marine sciences. I have grown up on the coast and hope to someday contribute to it's sustainability. I am a good candidate for the team because of my dedication and work ethic.  The structure of a baseball team will keep me accountable not only to the team, but to my classwork as well.  Academically, I feel my first two and a half years of high school have been very successful, as I have achieved the high grades I set out for. There have been some challenges along the way, but I know I need those to make me a better student athlete. In addition to academics and baseball, I am active in student service organizations and am volunteering as a youth baseball pitching coach. As a third year varsity pitcher, I look forward to leading my team and hope to carry that leadership into life.
