Nicolas de Gramont '18 Recruiting Profile

Baseball has been a lifelong passion for me, and I'm constantly striving to improve my skills.  One thing that baseball has taught me is how to be flexible.  I have played seven different positions for my high school team since freshman year, and I believe that my versatility has made a large impact on my team's performance.  When we lost our star catcher this past season, I volunteered to learn how to catch, and am currently co-starting catcher for my team.  Although it is not my best position, I am working hard to improve my skills so I can help my team behind the dish as much as possible.  I also pride myself with showing trends of improvement with each year.  In my junior year,  I led my team in batting average, hits, and RBIs for the regular season.  I also had the second best ERA and WHIP.  I showed substantial improvement in my hitting, pitching, and fielding from my sophomore year to my junior year.  I'm striving to improve those numbers even further in my senior year in order to make an even larger impact on my team's performance.  I would love to play baseball at the college level, and I believe that my versatility and athletic skills will be a valuable contribution to a serious college baseball program.
