Personal Statement
Hello,
My name is JJ Bouché. I am a 17 year old rising Senior and will graduate in 2017. I have been playing baseball since I was 6 years old which is when I fell in love with catching. Through my years playing baseball I have only played for three different coaches. As I think about my accomplishments, I am proud to say that I have been apart of an 11U district tournament win. Also, in my sophomore year of high school, my JV team set a school record for the most wins in a season, 19. I have a high level of respect for my coaches and their advice, so I am very loyal to them. I have been a starting catcher my whole life, but it is a result of the hardwork and dedication it takes to beat out other players. I made it my goal to start over them, which I am glad I ended up being able to do. My best quality is being a student of the game. I am a player that someone can coach. When a coach tells me to fix something in my mechanics, he only has to say it once. I fix it right away. I want to offer my skills and qualities on a collegiate level including leadership, spark, and being a good teammate. On all the teams I have been on, I have been thought of as the "spark plug". Playing baseball has always been a very important and exciting part of my life so far, and I plan to keep it that way. In the future, I am open to playing for any school on a collegiate level. I would be extremely grateful for any college baseball program who would give me an opportunity when I graduate high school. I would like my education to be focused in Sports Communication, so I am involved in baseball no matter where my future takes me. Whether it be playing MLB, being a scout, managing a team, or working in the team office, I strongly believe that playing on a collegiate level will lead me down the path I want to take.
