Please follow me!!
Hello my name is Zuriel M. Collins. I am 5'10" 170lb middle infielder. My primary position is shortstop, but I am very versatile and can play anywhere. In 2015 Perfect Game ranked me 7th best shortstop in the state of Florida, 42nd nationally and 49th overall player in the state of Florida.
The ideal situation for me is a school that has a strong pre-professional programs with a good baseball program where I can make an impact right away. Because of my love for the game and my strong desire to play at the collegiate level, I will play anywhere.
In the spring of 2013, I was accepted into the IB (International Baccalaurate) program at my high school. Which is a prestigious program that fully prepared me for the rigors of being a student athlete in college/university setting. I graduated from high school with 4.45 weighted and 3.93 unweighted GPA. I take pride in succeeding in the classroom where I made the Dean’s List at Charleston Southern University and currently maintain a 3.5 GPA.
In 2013 my high school Clearwater Central Catholic finished 3rd in the State of Florida and ended the year with a 27-5 record. I finished the year with a .403 batting average. The summer of 2014 I played for SWFL 16U. We won 3 out 6 tournaments entered and finished the summer with a 40-4 record. Perfect Game ranked our team 6th in the nation.
Some of my notable accomplishments included earning the Most Valuable Player of the Perfect Game 2013 WWBA Memorial Day Classic in Fort Myers and making the All Tourney Team for each of the PG tournaments we played in this summer.
