Artur Cary '11 Recruiting Profile

I have always had a love and passion for baseball, but since starting high school it has it become a dominant part of my life. I practice a minimum of three hours a day, and when I am not playing or practicing I am thinking about baseball (strategy, mechanics, etc). I am always trying to improve myself and I won't be happy until I am the best out there. Off the field I feel I am easy to get along with, have a good sense of humor, and am a good student. On the field I am focused and take baseball seriously. Perhaps I take it too seriously at times, but only because I work hard to always play at my full potential or maximum level. The better the competition, the more I enjoy playing and the better I feel I perform. I am obedient and respectful to the coach in all circumstances, and try my best to be a role model, and display leadership. Furthermore, I look out for the team's best interest and success overall or in a game. Besides baseball, I enjoy fishing, upland shooting, sporting clays and ping pong. My goals are to compete and play at the college level and to make a significant and positive contribution to the team. I am open to all colleges where I can continue to grow, play baseball and get a good education. I am not sure about my major yet (possibly business, economics, journalism, biblical studies, or advertising). I am a good all around athlete, but my greatest strength is hitting. I am a line drive hitter with power, and thrive on hitting in clutch situations. The bottom line is I am addicted to baseball, it is my passion and my life, and I promise I will succeed in any program.
