Alexander Bryant '20 Recruiting Profile

I am 17 years old and just finished my junior year at Jesuit High School in Tampa, Florida (Class of 2020).  I was born February 2002.  I am 6' 4" and weigh 210 pounds.   I want to be a professional baseball player.

I have four good pitches built off a high-80s fastball, a curveball with good late break I can command any time for a strike (to either side of the plate) or swing-and-miss,  and a change-up that falls off arm side:  All pitches I command very, very well.   I've also developed a two-seam fastball (a work in progress) but it can move a lefty off the plate.  My command is the strength of my pitching.  I train daily -- mobility and strength -- with my pitching coach, Orlando Chinea.  My summer regimen is 9-12 with Orlando and then 2-4 lifting.

My baseball skills combined with strong academic achievements make me an attractive student-athlete to the schools of my choice.  I've been in the honors program all years.  I'm on the honor roll at Jesuit.   

Managing an intense academic schedule, competitive baseball at Jesuit and my travel team (Top Tier), as well as a comprehensive training/conditioning regimen is hard.  But it showed me I am ready to play and win at the elite college level.   What I truly want is to play for a college that will help me realize my dream to play professional baseball and get me ready for the next level.

Travel Team:  I'm a starting pitcher for Top Tier Roos American 2020.   

High School:  As a freshman at Bishop Moore Catholic I was a starting pitcher on the varsity team and we made it to the state championship.  I went five innings in the championship game, gave up three hits and one run, but we didn't win.  The family then moved to Tampa so I enrolled at Jesuit.  As a sophomore I was a starting pitching on Jesuit's varsity team:   I threw the team's only no-hitter and also threw a one-hit complete game shutout.  As a junior starting pitcher we ended the season as 6A state champions.
